  1. Place meat in slow cooker.
  2. Cut onion and carrots in large chunks.
  3. Cut potatoes in half.
  4. Place vegetables around meat.
  5. Add beer, spice packet and 1 cup chicken broth.
  6. Cover and cook for 7-8 hours on low or until meat is tender.
  7. Discard liquid(reserving vegetables).
  8. slice meat across the grain.
  9. Serve vegetables with corned beef.
