Directions

  1. In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain.
  2. Stir in the corn, tomato sauce, water, green pepper and taco seasoning; mix well.
  3. Spoon into a greased 2-qt.

  5. Prepare corn bread mix according to package directions for corn bread.
  6. Stir in half the onions.
  7. Spread over beef mixture.
  8. Bake uncovered at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
  9. Sprinkle with cheese and remaining onions.
  10. Bake 3-5 minutes longer or until cheese is melted and toothpick inserted into corn bread layer comes out clean.
