Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Blend flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, soda, spices and butter. Set aside 1 cup of the mixture for crumb topping.
  3. Add buttermilk and eggs and blend until smooth. (Do this by hand.)
  4. Pour into greased 9 1/2" x 13" x 2" pan. Sprinkle with reserved crumbs.
  5. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Serve warm or cooled.
