  • In a small saucepan, mix the cocoa and sugar; add water and stir until smooth.
  • Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  • Boil for 1 minute.
  • Reduce heat; stir in milk and heat through.
  • Remove from the heat and stir in vanilla.
  • Pour into 2 cups; top with whipped cream and cinnamon if desired.

  1. Good basic hot chocolate recipe. It will not wow your socks off, but since it is stuff I usually have at the house it worked well for an unexpectedly cold night. I would equate it with one of the premium packaged hot chocolate mixes.

Hello... My name is Andrea. I am currently attending a university full time for my associates degree in massage therapy, which I plan to follow up with pre-med. I am going to be a chiropractor eventually. I absolutely love it. When I'm not in school, I am in the kitchen... baking. I got married a year and a half ago to the most wonderful man in the world. My husband is a truck driver so he's not home often enough for me to actually cook everynight. I often look for recipes for one or two. I absolutely love to bake however, I do it all the time.
