  • In a large saucepan add the first nine ingredients; mix well and heat. Stir in crab; heat through. Discard bay leaves. Transfer to a freezer container; cover and freeze for up to 3 months.

  1. Easy, easy, easy! In fact, I'd say that it took less than 30 minutes to make; probably more like 15-20 from start to finish. I made half the recipe and it was enough for three main course servings. I used milk in place of the whipping cream and about nine ounces of imitation chunk crabmeat. My DS and I didn't care for the thyme so I'd probably leave that out next time... and there will definitely be a next time, since he loves anything with crab and this was sooo quick and easy.
     
  2. This is so fast and easy to put together. I only made half the recipe but still added the 1/4 teaspoon of pepper and I added some salt to taste. I will definitely make this again.
     
  3. This was very good and extremely easy. I used imitation crab and would have liked a little more heat, love the addition of the corn. Next time I will add some Old Bay or some hot sauce or both.
     
  4. wow this is some great soup, I sauteed onion and fresh garlic in butter before adding in the other ingredients and omitted the garlic powder, this is rich a filling so a little goes a long way, thanks for sharing!...Kitten
     
  5. This tastes really good. It was QUICK & SIMPLE to prepare, and would be an excellent weeknight meal. My family enjoyed it and ate it all up. The crabmeat can be substituted with any kind of seafood such as cooked shrimp etc. The bisque is very versatile and easy. Thank you so much for contributing this!

I have two boys Eddie 18 and Brandon 10. I have been with my hubby for 16 years. I work full time outside the home and my boys keep me busy at home. Eddie is a singer and base guitar player in a band and Brandon races go karts. We also have a Collie/Beagle mix named Sugar. I love to cook and try out new recipes. These recipes will be made again and again. 4 Stars = Recipe was good, but needed some modifications or it was good but not something we would want on a regular basis.
