  • In a saucepan bring the water and sugar up to a boil.
  • Allow this to simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Add the cranberries and the bourbon and simmer until the berries pop open.
  • Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  • When cool, press the mixture through a fine sieve.
  • Refrigerate until cold, then freeze.
