  1. Love this salad! I usually find a version of this salad at every holiday pot luck party I go to. I used a bundt pan as the mold. Just dunk in hot water before inverting onto serving plate for easy release. I used the "whole berry" cranberry sauce in a can - came out perfect!

  2. Thanks so much! My mother was known for her rendition which included grated orange zest, and grated cranberries, but no pineapple. You can also add canned peaches that have been drained and chopped. I'm so glad to have your recipe, as I've been unable to find Mom's, and yours seems the closest to hers that I've seen!

  3. Tried this recipe for Thanksgiving, and one of my brothers that never compliments my cooking, is still raving about it. He is in TX now, and he called me today (Christmas Day) to ask if I made it again! Didn't change a thing with the ingredients, and don't see any reason to.

  1. Omitted the pineapple, added orange zest, grated cranberries, and substituted chopped walnuts for pecans.

  2. What type of mold did you use? Was it a metal bunt or plastic?
