Cranberry White Chocolate Chip Cookies

"These cookies are amazingly decadent! I made them to give out for Christmas presents but my husband wanted to keep them all. I found the recipe on a different website and made some changes that I included in this recipe."

  • Place cranberries in a large bowl. Boil enough water to cover the cranberries, pour over berries and allow to steep for 8 minutes. Drain completely and dry on paper towels.
  • Combine flour and next 3 ingredients; set aside.
  • Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy and then add vanilla; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating until blended after each addition.
  • Add flour mixture to butter mixture gradually, beating at low speed until blended. Stir in white chocolate morsels and cranberries.
  • Drop cookie dough by heaping tablespoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets.
  • If desired place almond slivers on top of cookie dough.
  • Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned on bottom. Remove to wire racks to cool completely.
