Cream Cheese Filled Biscuits

- 2 cups biscuit mix (suggest Bisquick)
- 3 ounces cream cheese
- milk, to moisten
- flour
directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Grease cookie sheet.
- In mixing bowl, cut cream cheese into biscuit mix until cornmeal consistency.
- Add milk until dough is moistened.
- Place dough onto floured surface and knead 2-3 times (do not overknead or biscuits will be tough).
- Use rolling pin to roll dough to desired thickness.
- Cut biscuits with a round cookie cutter or biscuit cutter.
- Place on cookie sheet.
- Bake until golden brown, approximately 15 minutes.

These are very good. I used Carbquik bake mix instead of Bisquick and Carb Countdown milk for a low carb version. They tasted like regular biscuits, with a slight cream cheesy taste. If I didn't know there was cream cheese in the recipe, I probably couldn't have detected it. I think these would be good with some seasonings in the mix as well. Thanks for the recipe, I'll be making these regularly.
