Cream Cheese Pound Cake

- 1 1⁄2 cups of softened salted butter
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
- 3 cups sugar
- 6 large eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1⁄8 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
directions
- Beat butter and cream cheese with mixer, slowly, but well. Gradually add the sugar. Add in the eggs 1 at a time, mixing well after each one.
- Combine flour and salt gradually, add that to the butter mixture. Beat slowly, beat very well.
- Beat in vanilla, slowly, but well.
- Pour into a greased and floured 10 inch bundt pan.
- Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour 40 minutes.
- Cool on a rack in the pan for 15- 20 minutes or until the pan is no longer hot.
- Cool out of pan for 15 minutes before cutting.

Very nice tasting pound cake, nothing extra fancy, just wonderfully moist & satisfying! I did serve it with a thick homemade mixed-berry sauce on the side, though I only had a small spoonful of that! The cake itself would have been just fine all by itself! Thanks for sharing the recipe! [Made & reviewed for one of my adopted chefs in this Spring's Pick A Chef event]
