- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 6 green onions, chopped
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1⁄2 teaspoon rosemary
- 4 cups chopped mushrooms (crimini give best flavor)
- 4 teaspoons flour
- 2 cups half-and-half
- 2 cups vegetable stock
- 3 teaspoons sour cream
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 cup parmesean shredded cheese
directions
- melt butter over medium heat in deep skillet.
- add garlic, onion, salt, pepper, rosemary and thyme.
- Sautee until onions clear.
- add mushrooms and sautee until mushrooms start to soften.
- add Flour and stir until mushrooms are coated.
- add half and half, whisk and bring to a simmer. about 5 min).
- stir in sour cream and mustard.
- Whisk until Well blended.
- Bring to a simmer let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add vegetable broth, whisk until blended. Cover and bring to boil.
- Once boiling whisk in cheese and let simmer for 10-15 minutes until thickened.
