Creamy Chocolate Frosting II
"I needed a frosting recipe that didn't call for milk. This is an easy recipe I found on allrecipes.com. The person who originally posted it said it is an old family recipe that is a classic. It makes enough to frost a one-layer 9 inch cake. YUM!"

- 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
- 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
- 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1⁄4 cup water
directions
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and chocolate over low heat.
- Stir constantly until melted and well blended.
- Add the vanilla and sugar.
- Beat with an electric mixer.
- Add water gradually as you beat until it is a spreadable consistency.
