Questions & Replies

  1. I assume you can omit the cilantro? Avocado = YES Cilantro = NO!!!!!!! I absolutely cannot abide cilantro. It is the dog poo of the spice world. But hats off to those who do enjoy.

  1. I made this yesterday, as directed, except I added an extra tablespoon of fresh lime juice and omitted the scallions and in my opinion, it is PERFECT! It made a little over 1 full cup, so I diveded into 4ths (which equals 66.5 calories per 1/4 cup!) which is EXCELLENT nutritional information for the quantity of dressing that you get to indulge in on your salad! I ate it over a bed of organic mixed greens topped with cucumbers, seasoned black beans, cherry tomatoes and a few Santa Fe style tortilla strips. Most AMAZING and filling lunch salad that I've ever made, and well under 300 calories! I hope the dressing will keep for 5 days in the fridge so I can get a full week's lunches by only having to make it once! I HIGHLY recommend this dressing, especially if you love avocado!

  2. Love the fact that yogurt was used and not sour cream. I added lime zest and barely used any sugar. So yummy delish! Made for ZWT 2011 check out Menu #66257

  3. This was really good dressing. I just added about a pinch of sugar instead of the full amount. The amount of lime juice in the recipe kept the avocado dressing from browning in the refrigerator. Even DH who doesn't normally eat dressing on salads liked this recipe. I will definitely make this again sometime.

  4. I used this as a steak sauce and it was a hit! I just added more cilantro, lime juice and garlic than the recipe recommended for the flavor and consistency.

  5. This is a great recipe! I made a couple of substitutions. I omitted the sugar and used a little bit of red onion in lieu of scallions. My DH and I loved it! Thanks for sharing.
