  1. Using an electric mixer, whip the cream cheese until light and fluffy. Add mashed potatoes and beat until well combined and smooth. Stir in beaten egg, green onion or chives, and parsley. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Place potato mixture into a well-greased casserole dish, dot with butter and bake in a preheated 350F oven for 40-45 minutes.
