Directions

  1. Heat milk, 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon in saucepan just to boil; stir in rice and reduce heat to low.
  2. Cover and simmer 40 minutes.
  3. Whisk yolks, cream, remaining 1/4 cup sugar and vanilla in bowl.
  4. Stir into rice mixture.
  5. Bring to boil; cook, stirring, 2 minutes.
  6. Remove cinnamon.
  7. Cool 30 minutes.
