- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 onion
- 3 garlic cloves
- 78 ounces crushed tomatoes
- 5 1⁄4 cups chicken stock
- 3 sprigs fresh oregano
- 1⁄2 cup half-and-half cream
- salt & pepper
directions
- Melt butter.
- Chop onion and garlic add to butter.
- Saute for approximately 6 minutes.
- Add tomatoes, stock and oregano bring to a boi. Reduce heat.
- and simmer gently until thickened about 45 minutes.
- Remove oregano springs.
- Slowly add half & half stirring constantly.
- Season with salt & pepper.
- Garnish with oregano.
- Serve.
