Creole Dump Chicken

"I found this on a website (which I unfortunately didn't note) with a lot of other "dump" chicken recipes. The idea is that you toss the chicken and the sauce ingredients into a freezer bad, freeze it, then thaw it and dump it all into a baking dish to cook it. We like this one pretty well. It smells much stronger than it tastes, though."

  1. Pretty good and pretty healthy. Easy too!. I used the crock pot.

  2. easy to make and freeze. I add alittle corn starch to thicken and serve over rice. A little cheese is good on this too.

  3. I think a good, easy way to make this a little more flavorful and more "creole" is to add a bit of br. sugar or molasses and to add some cajun seasoning. oh, and more garlic! it's a nice simple recipe and with a little tweaking, .it's very good

  4. Nice flavor. I made this up, using skinless/boneless breasts about a month ago and froze it. Pulled it out yesterday and put it, frozen, into the crockpot on low. While we liked the taste, the cooking method made the breasts kind of dry. As this was a result of my choice of cooking method and not the recipe, I'm not assigning stars. My chicken cut of choice are the s/b breasts but I just don't think they are cut out for crockpot dump cooking. Thanks for a good one to try, though!
