Hubby loves the tomato sauce on top of his meatloaf so I knew this would be a winner for us. I used ground sirloin and also cut back on the green peppers. Prefer petite diced tomatoes so that is what I used and added some minced garlic, a bit of yellow mustard and fresh ground black pepper. Did not want a sweet flavor so did not add the sugar. These patties are so good, easy to make, and a recipe you can be very versatile with. Put in my fav's folder! Made and reviewed for Susie D's World Tour.

I really loved the taste of these patties! Like another reviewer I scaled back the amount of green peppers because I wanted a higher ratio of meat. I also cut the sugar for the sauce in half and was very happy with the results. I will make these patties many times in the future - maybe even as a meat lof. Thank you for posting this! The patties are great. Great flavors. But the sauce, it's way too sweet. And I used only 1 1/2 tbs of Splenda. I should have omitted it. I used only 1/4 cup of green bell pepper cause I though it would be too much with 1 1/4 cups. And now I see that I forgot to add the breadcrumbs LOL The patties have a nice sweet taste probably because of the ketchup. Thanks Kate :)
