Crock Pot Apple Crumb Crisp

"Wanted to make something for dessert so I threw a few things together and came up with a simple Apple crisp. You'll need just four basic ingredients to make this comforting dessert. Started at 4:00 pm and had a warm dessert at 6:00 pm. Serve with whipped cream or al-a-mode."

  1. I have made this twice so far, and the taste is beyond amazing, but mine never seems to thicken up like the picture. Should I cook this on high instead of low, and are you supposed to stir it??

  2. I made this dessert for an office potluck and everyone loved it. I doubled the recipe and thought I'd have leftovers. No leftovers...it was GONE and several people asked for the recipe and/or thanked me for making it. It was so easy that I felt like I cheated!

  3. OH MY GOSH!!! This was so good, and was a hit with my husband! Thanks for sharing

  4. Husband loved it cold!! :)

  5. This is the BEST dessert ever. I have made it three times in the last two weeks. I used Krusteaz brand of cinnamon crumb cake. I have passed the recipe on to a few people, and they loved it to. It's sooo good warm, with vanilla ice cream. Thanks sooo much for the great recipe.

Tweaks

  1. WOW - so easy and so good - the only thing I suggest is making sure you cook this in a 1.5 qt cooker - I used 1 quart and had to take some out - I should have followed directions but I thought it would be ok - I used pecans instead of walnuts as that is what I had on hand. Will make again! Thanks!
