  1. Soak Pinto beans overnight in water per package directions, rinse well.
  2. Brown ground beef until no longer pink. Dump rinsed beans, ground beef and smoked sausage into crock pot. Chop onion and garlic, add to crock pot. Dump in can of tomatoes and taco seasoning, stir well. Add water until liquid is 1 to 2 inches above beans. (Beans use a lot of liquid and you don't want them to get dry.) Cook on low 8- 12 hours or high 5-7 hours. Serve with garlic bread in a bowl.
