Crock Pot Cream Cheese & Sausage Dip

"This dip is an absolute hit everytime I make it! My husband and all of our friends devour it and it's always the first to go! It has a nickname of "white trash dip". I make it in a round 4 quart crock pot, but the recipe can be halved or doubled for smaller or larger crock pots."

Questions & Replies

  1. What about adding some cheddar cheese? I am going to try only 2 blocks of cream cheese and adding grated cheddar cheese.

  2. Can you make this in a crockpot without browning the sausage first? Yeah, I just dumped everything into the crockpot and forgot to brown the meat... ugh. Am I doomed?

  1. This was so delicious! In fact I made the dip and I did not want to take it to the party I made it for, in fact I no longer wanted to go to the party! I just wanted to stay home and eat all the dip by myself. It was that good. I will definitely be keeping this recipe and making it again.

  2. I love this dip and so does everyone I make it for! I usually only make about half this much. I use spicy sausage and regular rotel.

  4. This would probably be good if you used velveeta. As is, the cream cheese is too sweet, and it does not blend well at all with the Ro-tel. In fact, the combo caused the Ro-tel to taste SOUR, and I have never noticed a sour note in Ro-tel before..EPIC FAIL. Approximately, 14.00 down the drain.

  5. For the recipe shown, how many does that serve
