Super simple to make! First time I've ever used a whole roasting chicken in the slow cooker. I cooked mine overnight for 7 hours and it was just perfect with doneness. I do think a bit of seasoning is needed so I used a garlic pepper seasoning before cooking. I think 8 hours would be too & would suggest an estimate between 6-8 hours would make this perfect depending on your own slow cooker. Great dish for our dinner which reheats wonderfully! Thanks for sharing.

Very easy and smelled great while cooking! I made this exactly to the recipe, using fresh squeezed orange juice. Chicken totally fell apart when removing from the crockpot - very moist. Did need some seasoning (salt, etc) for my taste. Used the leftovers in a taco salad with lettuce, black beans, cheese & crushed nacho chips. This was my first time doing a whole chicken in the crockpot - thanks for the easy recipe!
