  1. Super simple to make! First time I've ever used a whole roasting chicken in the slow cooker. I cooked mine overnight for 7 hours and it was just perfect with doneness. I do think a bit of seasoning is needed so I used a garlic pepper seasoning before cooking. I think 8 hours would be too & would suggest an estimate between 6-8 hours would make this perfect depending on your own slow cooker. Great dish for our dinner which reheats wonderfully! Thanks for sharing.

  3. Overcooked. Chicken mushed up in your mouth.

  4. I love cooking a whole chicken in the crock pot. It remains juicy and tender. This is a real keeper. Easy to throw together and the results are FANTASTIC!

  5. Very easy and smelled great while cooking! I made this exactly to the recipe, using fresh squeezed orange juice. Chicken totally fell apart when removing from the crockpot - very moist. Did need some seasoning (salt, etc) for my taste. Used the leftovers in a taco salad with lettuce, black beans, cheese & crushed nacho chips. This was my first time doing a whole chicken in the crockpot - thanks for the easy recipe!
