  1. Working 12 hour days 7 days a week, I was delighted to return home to a delious meal from my Crockpot. Easy, tasty, and delious are understatements for this recipe!

  2. I didn't change a thing, but this recipe just didn't work for us. We found it to be very bland. I used thick pork steaks, which turned out very tender, but very dry . I used one can of cr of asparagus soup, but I think the recipe should have called for two, which may have changed the overall dryness of everything. It definetly needed more liquid. The potatoes and cabbage were also lacking flavor. I'm sorry to post a review like this, but we were just so disappointed.

  3. this is your typical bland german comfort food; edible and very filling.

  4. This was okay for us. It got really runny for me and the taste was just ok. I guess I like alot more seasoning in my food. It wasn't bad just needed something else. I will tweak it a bit and try again. Thanks.....Stephanie

  5. Not my favorite for taste and texture. Might try it again with savoy cabbage instead of regular and try a few different seasonings. Leftovers sat in fridge 'til I finally had to throw them out. Worth another try though.

  2. This was wonderful. I love a crock pot dish that is a complete meal, and this is one! I didn't have cream of asparagus, so I used cream of mushroom instead. I also used dried minced onion, only because I didn't have green onions, or even yellow. I skipped the cream for the same reason, and it was still delicious, easy, and filling. The whole family loved it. I'll be keeping this one. (And my kids don't like cabbage!) Next time I'll make it according to the directions, and I'll bet it'll be even better.
