Crock Pot Roast Pork

"I've made this recipe for years. It's easy to make and smells great while it's cooking. I serve it with applesauce, sweet potatoes and a green veggie. There are never any leftovers."

  1. I made this last week. It was simple and delicious. The only change I made was I used minced garlic (from a jar) and rubbed it over the slits it the roast. Definitely a keeper. Will make this one again.

  2. I made this over the weekend and it was wonderful! I think Squeaky104 must have done something wrong, because this is by far one of the best crockpot pork roasts that I've had. Thanks for posting...it's awesome.

  3. This was yummy and easy. I put it in the crockpot and went off for a busy day,and came home to a wonderful, tender juicy meat. thanks.

  4. Phenomenal dish! Very tasty. One quibble: the meat ended up inconsistently moist. Some parts were wonderful, while others were a bit dry. Also, I think you could add at least another onion or two...they really add to the meal. But these comments should not dissuade anyone from trying this dish...go for it!

  5. We received a crockpot in 1988 as a wedding gift with this recipe and have been making it every New Year’s Day since. The only difference was recipe in the book didn’t mention cloves. I have used both pork loin and pork tenderloin depending on what I could find. (Loin is wider and less expensive)

Tweaks

  1. I used Worcestershire Sauce instead of soy sauce and added bell pepper rings to mine as well. It's in the crock pot right now. I'll know tomorrow how well it turns out!!! =)

I live in New England with my husband and three kids. My two oldest are in college this year, one is a senior and one a freshman. My youngest is a sophmore in high school. We love to cheer on their sports teams (my husband travels to all the college spring lacrosse games). We boat in the summer and everyone but me skis in the winter.
