Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 lb Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 (26 ounce) jar meatless spaghetti sauce
  • 1 (16 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 2 medium carrots, cut into 1/4-inch slices
  • 1 medium red pepper, diced
  • 13 cup chopped onion
  • 1 12 cups uncooked spiral pasta
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 14 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  1. In a nonstick skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain and place in a crockpot.
  2. Add water, spaghetti sauce, beans, carrots, red pepper and onion and mix.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 7-9 hours or until vegetables are tender.
  4. Stir in the pasta, peas, sugar, salt and pepper and mix.
  5. Cover and cook on high for 15-20 minutes or until pasta is tender.
