  1. This was my first time cooking chops in the crockpot. My husband and I like really enjoyed this recipe. Hubby said it was "very good". I like anything sweet'n sour, and this is one recipe I will be making again. There are a few things I'd like to say about the recipe when preparing it... Add an extra chop or two in the crockpot, cuz it does make plenty of sauce, and dice or finely chop the onion before adding it to the crockpot, (I used half of one large onion) and be sure to reduce the cooking time, or your chops will dry out. I cooked mine for a total of 3 hrs., (1 hour on HIGH, and then 2 hours on LOW, but the next time I will cook the chops, 1 hour on HIGH, and then, either 1 hr. & 30 minutes (or) 1 hr. & 45 minutes on LOW. Also, I will add half of one red and half of one green bell pepper to the recipe, (for added color) and will probably cut them into 1-inch pieces. One more thing I'd like to add...when I made this, I used 3/4-inch loin chops, and prepared this recipe in a 5-1/2 quart slow cooker. Thank you Seasoned Cook for the wonderful recipe. It's a winner!!

  2. I made this dish this evening for my husband, he loved it! I added red and green peppers, mushrooms, and carrots, over a bed of brown rice.

  3. The pork was fork tenderand tasted good. I wanted to like the sauce more. I did have to sub orange juice for the lemon juice as I was out of lemons. Perhaps that change made a difference and will give it the benefit of the doubt. Thanks for sharing your recipe.

  4. I enjoyed this but it was a little too sweet for me overall. I made exactly to the recipe except I followed a previous reviewer's advice and cooked for less time. I did 1hr on high and 1hr 30min on low, at which point I removed the pork chops, added the cornstarch slurry, and cooked the sauce for another hour on low. I needed to add some hot sauce to change up the sweetness when I was eating. Otherwise, the pork was tender and the sauce had good flavor. Thanks!

  5. Loved this! I tossed it together super quick on my lunch break. It smelled awesome when I got home. The addition of the corn starch to thicken it was brilliant. Regrettably, I forgot to add onion because I was in a hurry. Will definitely toss that in next time. Thanks for posting.

  1. Just made this 6/28/21. My family loved it. A keeper they said. Suggested adding a pinch of red pepper flakes for zing. I said maybe some water chestnuts also. Definitely making again.
