  1. Went to Farmer's Market and they had a bumper crop of baby beets so I bought some. I've never worked with fresh beets before always using canned, so came to Zaar and picked this one as liked the ease of using the crock pot. Glad I did too, even DH who was adament that he does NOT like beets liked these. His remark was "they have their own distenct taste, not like those canned things" since I had small baby beets I followed another reviewers comment and didn't cube but left whole in the crock pot, other than that followed the directions exactly and glad I did. I added a pat of butter when I took them to the table and that was nice too. Made for "All You can eat Buffet event"

  2. Wow! I love beets and this was an excellent way to prepare them. I used the parsley option with the thyme, which suited us perfectly. Made by a Feed Bag for Susie’s World Tour 2019.

  3. Great way to do beets! Got them ready in the morning and didn't have to fuss with them until dinner time. I used baby beets, so left them whole. Great combination of flavors. Made for Vegie Tag at KittencalsKitchen.com

  4. I never thought to cook beets in my crock pot before. It works very well. I only used 1 tbsp olive oil and I opted for the fresh parsley. The garlic flavor was very subtle in the finished product, but overall, they were delicious. Thanx for sharing!

  5. These are so tasty. I followed instructions as listed and everything came together perfectly. Served them up as a side to tilapia, Yum!
