Crock Pot Turkey Breast With Stuffing and Dried Fruit

  • Coarsely chop apples (with or without peels) and mix with stuffing mix, onion, dried fruit, thyme, salt, pepper and poultry seasoning.
  • Place mixture in the bottom of a 4-5 quart crock pot.
  • Pour chicken stock over mixture making sure all the stuffing is well covered.
  • Place turkey on top of stuffing.
  • Cook on low for 8 hours or until the turkey reaches 170 degrees on a meat thermometer.

I haven't tried this yet but intend to this year for Thanksgiving as it sounds like it will be very flavorful and moist.<br/>We plan to have a small family gathering and at my age, I will like the less fuss method so I will not be too tired to eat at meal time.<br/>Good to serve with this would be a sweet potatoe casserole or mashed potatoes w/gravy and vegetable of you choice. Of course apple or pumpkin pie for dessert. Sounds easy enough even for an old lady!
