ingredients
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1⁄2 cup molasses
- 2 1⁄2 cups flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1⁄2 cup milk
- 3⁄4 cup pecans or 3/4 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1 cup semi-sweert chocolate piece
directions
- Cream together shortening and sugar, add eggs, one at a time, beating after each one. Add molasses, mix well. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Add alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Add nuts and chocolate.
- Drop by teaspoonful on greased baking sheet. Bake at 375F for about 10 minutes, or until a bit brown.

<br>I guess the dish that I am famous for is my Christmas ham - my family all comes home for Christmas, and if i don't have my ham they are dissapointed, and my grandson wants the pistachio squares!!! so I guess that is the dishes that I'm famous for.
