Crosby's Old-Time Christmas Cake

"This is the greatest Christmas cake ever, and another way of cooking it is in a bundt pan, instead of in the round tins, it may take a little longer to cook, but the result is the same thing, simply delicious!!"

  • Cream butter - add sugar gradually and beat thoroughly. Add beaten eggs, molasses, milk, sherry, rum and flavoring.
  • Dredge fruit and nuts in one cup of flour. Sift remaining flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and spices, and add to mixture with fruit. Mix well with a spoon.
  • This mixture will make three cakes using 2 round tins (approximately 8x3-inch) and one round tin (approximately 6x3-inch) . Line well-greased pans with heavy waxed paper.
  • Fill pans 3/4 full and bake 3-4 hours at 300°F.

Her sweets are fantastics, especially her pound cakes, Yummm <br> <br>I guess the dish that I am famous for is my Christmas ham - my family all comes home for Christmas, and if i don't have my ham they are dissapointed, and my grandson wants the pistachio squares!!! so I guess that is the dishes that I'm famous for.
