  1. I used dry roasted peanuts, 1/3 bag of leftover coleslaw mix and all the same amounts of your other ingredients. I had to add more Miracle Whip as it was on the dry side. The peanuts and bacon were a nice surprise. Next time I'll also throw in a handful of sunflower seeds. Thanks for posting.

  2. I scaled this back to 3.5 serves and 3 of us gobbled it up as our only side with recipe #259114 and it tempered the heat from the wings beautifully. The only subs I did for dietary reasons was to use cashews, (unsalted and I dry roasted them in a fry pan) for the salted peanuts and a 1/2 teaspoon of Natvia (sugar substitue for for sugar) Thank you Shelby Jo, made for Photo Tag.

  3. Yummy, yummy! I've made this a couple of times and we love the peanuts and bacon added to it. Thanks for posting this!

  4. Bf and I both love coleslaw so we were excited to try this new twist. I modified the recipe a bit by using half a 16oz package of coleslaw mix made of green cabbage and carrots (too bad no red cabbage though), used 2 slices of bacon, and got lazy and didn't chop my salted peanuts. We have a profusion of mayo so I used 1/4 cup light mayo and halved the rest of the ingredients. We were both disappointed by the coleslaw but it was still very tasty. Thanks for sharing Shelby Jo! :) Made for Please Review My Recipe tag game.

  5. Loved this flavoursome coleslaw and I'll be making it again. I used cashews instead of peanuts because I prefer them (eat them all the time) and there were, therefore, some on hand. I cut the sugar by half (personal taste preference) and, in view of what previous reviewers had said about the need for more dressing, I used 1/4 cup of mayonnaise and 3/4 cup of Greek yoghurt. This seemed like a good amount. I've never seen Miracle Whip here, maybe because I've never looked for it. Loved the bacon and nuts in this! Next time I think I'll add some sliced apple, and mix honey in with the yoghurt and mayonnaise instead of using sugar. Great recipe, Shelby Jo; thanks for sharing it.
