  1. Absolutely wonderful. Unlike so many other cucumber salads, the vinegar doesn't overwhelm the sour cream flavor.

  2. I made this salad for a Memorial Day cook-out. I made it the night before. It was well received by the guests. The dressing was light and creamy. This dish went well with the grilled burgers and hotdogs. Thanks for an easy, delicious salad.

  3. I made this two days before needed. I don't know if this helped or not but they were good. Nice and easy do ahead dish to fill out the table. Thanks Inez

  4. A cool, refreshing, easy summer salad. My hubby was making dinner while I ran errands, and he made this salad. It was really good, really easy!! We will make this again and again!! Thanks for posting, MizzNezz!!!

Tweaks

  1. What a wonderfully refreshing dish! I used sweet onions - not Vidalias, but small, very mild ones that I recently discovered. I also added a bit of fresh dill. I refrigerated it overnight, and served it with Lizzie-Babette's Greek Chicken with Artichoke Hearts, which was another winner! Next time I might try using yoghurt instead of sour cream, which would be in keeping with the "Greek" theme. Now I'm all set for the summertime salad season! Thanks, MizzNezz!

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
