1. Outstanding! We all loved this recipe, made it as written and was not disappointed. I really enjoyed the fresh mint and ginger coming through the yoghurt. This makes a Perfect accompaniment to any Indian recipe. Thank you Aaliyah&Aaron's mum

 2. Love the hint of mint coming through in this cool refreshing raita.

 3. We peeled the cucumber, and left out the cumin seed for personal preference when making this dish. We also substituted tarragon for the mint. We let it sit in the fridge for about 3 hours then spooned it over grilled chicken breasts for lunch and it was great. The Raita melted over the steaks into a wonderful cream sauce, then we found ourselves with a forkful of meat and just dipping it into the sauce in the bowl. The flavor of this sauce is really good.

 4. I have made this ahead of my Grand Indian Curry Banquet, which I am holding tomorrow! I tasted it today and it is SUBLIME - the ginger really adds that authentic Indian flavour to it! The toasted cumin seeds are also a wonderful finishing touch.....a great recipe and one which will now become my default Raita recipe from now! Thanks Aisha - I have come to expect only the best from you and your recipes, this did NOT disappoint me! Made for the Aussie Swap. FT:-)

 5. LOVED this! Used new little cucumbers from my garden and made just as directed. This was so refreshing and delicious served with the Grilled Indian-Style Curry Yogurt Chicken (Food.com #466540). Can't wait to make it again! Thanks.

I thoroughly enjoy baking, but have to admit, I have two left hands when it comes to decorating cakes! I also do a bit of knitting (beginner's stage) and reading. Stephen King and Dean Koontz are my all time favourite authors, and, of course, LOVE Calvin and Hobbes (does it show??!!)

I search for recipes that carry ingredients I can get hold of locally (or I have stocked in my cupboard!). Recipes I have posted are ALL tried and tested and have been enjoyed by all! So, I hope you and your family will enjoy as well!

My rating system is fairly simple. Since I only pick recipes that I know my family will enjoy (looking at the list of ingredients), it's either 5 or 4 stars, I do not go any lower. I may sometimes do a bit of tweaking but that is only due to my family's tastes. If I do have problems with a recipe or if it didn't turn out the way it should have done, then I just leave a comment without any rating.
