"This is based on the recipe on the Jose Cuervo Sweet & Sour bottle. It's perfect! My mom discovered it."

  • Use the lime wedge to moisten the rim of your glass. Dip the glass lightly into the salt.
  • Add the ice to your glass. Pour in the sweet and sour mix, tequila, and triple sec. Garnish with the lime wedge, or squeeze into your glass. You can add a splash of sweetened lime juice if you like, but I prefer it without.

  1. Best margarita a good tequila (Jose cuervo, herradura, don julio or better), good orange liquor (patron l'range, contrieu, triple sec) and lime juice (or limeade in frig section). Simple. Add a slice of jalapeno for a spicy twist. Keep it simple but don't skimp on cheap ingredients!

  2. Nice quick and easy margarita. I used recipe #450588 in place of the Cuervo. I added a little more sweet/sour mix and skipped the salt (not a fan of salt on my 'ritas). Thanks for sharing! [Made for Spring 2013 Pick A Chef]

  3. This was a tasty cocktail, tart with a burst of classic margarita flavor. There was a little more tart than sweet though, and we tend to prefer our margaritas with just a touch more sweet. But that's a pretty easy fix, so I will definitely make this lovely drink again. Thanks for sharing your cocktail recipe, WillsMommy. Made for Fall 2011 Pick-A-Chef.
