Cuticle Oils

"I've been working on my hands and fingernails. I purchased a cuticle oil that said in the ingredient list mineral oil, carafan and frangrance when that ran out I purchased one that said vitamin E oil. Thinking that there are alot of different oils available easily now, ceratainly it should be easy to make your own. I went on a search and these are the ones found. I have not tried them yet, when the current bottle I have of store purchased runs out I will. When that happens I will come back and edit this description to include it. I found the discussion for these at this web site, http://www.newdirectionsaromatics.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=3269&sid=04badd1c337d527bcba6e24be5a70958 where they also mention that adding a drop vitamin E anti-oxidant will extend the life. RecipeZaar will not recognize fragrance as an ingredient, so Apricot Oil could have fragrance added if you like."

directions

  • Stir together.
  • Apply to cuticles and fingernails, be sure to apply to both sides of nails.
  • I allow to sit for 5 minutes then massage into cuticles, fingertips and gradually into whole hand.
  • Note:There was some concern about macadamia nut oil due to allergies, so beware of that if using on someone besides yourself.
  • Note: For myself I want to try avocado oil because of it's qualities for the skin. I'm also looking into mineral oil as an extender.

I live in a small rural town in central California. I am lucky enough to live and work in my community. I am the site coordinator for an after school program where we enroll over 100 students. My motto is there are no bad kids only bad parents. I have one daughter that is now in her second year of college and a husband that is the worse critic when it comes to food. He either likes it or doesn't no in between. I have been at the zaar for over a year now and continue to go back and forth on buying a membership, right now I'm going for buying. Trying to convince myself that it is only $2.00 a month and I could clean up that nonmember cookbook and get it organized so I might be able to find something :)I'm kinda a pack rat when it comes to food, I always have back ups and sometimes back ups for the back ups. My husband always tells everyone if there is a national disaster come to our house shirley will be able to feed an army. So yall are welcome too :)Edited to add i joined 12-31-06 my Christmas prsent to myself!
