  1. This was way too strong for us. I tried it because most of the other hot buttered rum recipes are for large batches and it was for just two of us. Neither me or my BF could drink it. It really just tasted like watered down rum. Just not for us.

  3. The honey made this complex, and was so good with the butter. This is super potent! I guess any hot buttered rum recipe is.
     
  4. Good recipe. I like that it calls for honey so less sugar is needed. I used 2 ounces of rum and guessed at the amount of butter I added (probably about 3 teaspoons). I also used ground cloves instead of whole. I was planning on sipping it all evening, but it's gone in 30 minutes!
     
  5. I woke up with a bit of a cold today and this helped to make the afternoon a lot better. I used 2oz. of rum which seemed to be plenty for me and just a dash of the allspice and cinnamon. This will warm you from the inside out!
