Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 14 cups sugar
  • 14 cup cornstarch
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups milk
  • 3 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
  • 4 egg yolks, lightly beaten
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 pastry shells, 9 inch baked

Directions

  1. In large saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch and salt.
  2. Stir in milk and chocolate.
  3. Cook and stir over medium high heat until thickened and bubbly.
  4. Reduce heat; cook and stir 2 minutes longer.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Stir in butter and vanilla.
  7. Spoon into baked pastry shell.
  8. Cool on wire rack.
  9. Cover and chill for at least 3 hours.
