  • Place rice and water in rice cooker and set for keep cycle.
  • When rice is cooked, add corned beef and corn; cover and allow to cook on keep cycle for 15 minutes -- if rice seems dry, add a little water.
  • Before serving, stir all ingredients together until well mixed.
  • Serve with tabasco sauce, if you like things hot!

  1. forget the rice cooker..walmart sells a microwave rice cooker (with locking lid) for about $7.00 and it is MUST HAVE...i cook all my rice and alot more in it....this is a great recipe for that cooker....25minutes and your ready to eat.... angela
     
  2. I would have liked to make this recipe, but it requires a rice cooker. Unfortunately this eliminates anyone who doesn''t have this specialized piece of equipment.
     
  3. I've done this a couple of times now & I don't have a rice cooker, I just added the mainly cooked rice to the hash mixture & it finished cooking in the last 15 minutes. The second time I added onions,mushrooms & peas which made it a bigger meal
     
  4. I cooked regular rice in a saucepan and tossed in the hash while it was cooking which mixed things up nicely. The tobasco sauce is a nice touch but it needs a vegetable besides white corn, this dish lacks color.
