Questions & Replies

  1. I want to use a 9x13 glass baking dish because i have a large family and 9x9 just won't do the trick. So should i just double the recipe?

  1. I think recipes should be rated only if you follow the instructions given, with no substitutions. That is only fair as maybe your substitutions could make the recipe a failure. This recipe turned out perfect for me and it was delicious. The graham crackers made it an extra special coffee cake. Thank you for sharing a wonderful recipe....

  2. This was very good and pretty easy! I made it in a 10inch springform pan and served it with Cool Whip (a couple of people in my family are lactose intolerant) but ice cream or whipping cream on top would be fantastic. It's almost like a caramel apple cake and the graham cracker crumbs give it a nice flavour and texture. Not your average coffee cake! Thanks

  3. Excellent coffee cake. Very crunchy topping with lovely apple cake on the bottom. Will make this many more times. Thanks for posting.

  4. I can't believe no one else has rated this recipe. It is so good! I liked it better at room temperature, but that's just me. I substituted apple sauce for part of the butter. Kittencal has excellent recipes!

  5. Wonderful recipe! Followed a recipe exact except I substituted oats for the walnuts and added a bit of lemon zest to the apples for a tangy kick! My cake came out a tad wet in the middle after 40 minutes (maybe a mistake on my part) but was an easy fix after I baked for an additional 5 minutes and let cool down! My family loved it!
