Delicious Red Salad Dressing
"My Mom makes this every year at Christmas time, she calls it her "Christmas Dressing". I don't even eat salad, but the taste of this dressing makes me wish I did! I make it now and give it in nice bottles as gifts around Christmas time."

ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 cup oil
- 1⁄2 cup cider vinegar or 1/2 cup wine vinegar
- 1⁄4 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon onion flakes
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
directions
- Combine all ingredients in blender and whip until well mixed.
- Keeps well if refrigerated.

We loved this salad dressing! I made a one-fourth portion because there are only 2 of us. I wish I had made more, it's that good. I like the idea of making it as Christmas gifts; people will love receiving this. -

Hope to get back to Georgia soon -- I miss being able to buy simple things like Crisco (or any kind for that matter!) shortening, Corn Meal, SNOW CRAB!!! I love "smoke cooking", that's not so easy over here either!
