Directions

  1. sift flour and salt together with sugar.
  2. lightly rub in butter with raisins and lemon rind.
  3. add milk.
  4. mix.
  5. spread out evenly in a greased 20cm x 20cm ovenproof dish.
  6. put to the side.
  7. put boiling water, sugar and butter in saucepan and heat until butter melts.
  8. spoon over the contents of the dish.
  9. bake at 180 degrees for about 45-60 minutes.
  10. serve while hot.
  11. can be served with cream and custard if desired.
