Diablo Sandwich

"Sandwich ordered by Buford T. Justice in Smokey and the Bandit, best served with Dr. Pepper. My family loves this easy recipe, it is best if simmered for at least an hour and served on a toasted bun."

  1. Delicious! This is the perfect meal after an 18 hour drive from Texarkana to Atlanta with a truckload of Coors.

  2. This sandwich had absolutely NOTHING to do with Smokey and the Bandit. The sandwich on the movie was, visually, most likened to a spicy BBQ, pulled pork sandwich......didn't have lettuce or tomato, and totally not a taco sloppy Joe.

  3. I'd give this zero stars if I could. Chef Jarrod is a big fat stinky liar. This is not the Diablo Sandwich that Buford T. Justice had in Smokey and The Bandit. Actually watch the movie and examine the sandwich. No corn, no lettuce, no sour cream, no diced tomato. It looks like a BBQ Pork Sandwich. No fries with it either, just the sandwich and the drink. Pull this article and rename it something else.

  4. Great sandwich for when you're in a hurry.
