This is different. The texture is somewhere between a cake and a soft biscuit. The flavors are very nice, and it's sooooo easy to make. Mine took exactly 35 minutes in my very temperamental oven, so those with slightly more obedient ovens may want to start checking it before that. Made for Please Review My Recipe Tag.

Loved it! Easy to throw together and then toss in the oven while I'm making the rest of dinner, which is just what I did tonight. It tasted like a light and fluffy biscuit. I used a round 1.5qt casserole dish and it took exactly 35 minutes, it fluffed up while it was baking then deflated some while cooling. I used the Heatsmart Bisquick and green onion in place on white. The dill & onion together were wonderful, neither were too overpowering - they were just right. The melted butter gave it a pretty golden crust that was just perfect. Will be making again! Made for Flour Power photo game.

Bread making doesn't get much easier than this! I wasn't sure what to expect, maybe a big biscuit or scone? Actually, the texture is more like a cake. That's a good thing. I like cake. I was expecting a more pronounced dill flavor but perhaps my dill is past its prime. Rather than onions, which I doubted would get done in the allotted bake time, I used fresh chives. Speaking of bake time – not owning a 1-quart dish, I used a 9-inch round cake pan and mine was flat out done in 20 minutes. We both enjoyed it at dinner last night and I had another piece today for lunch. It was a little more crumbly and dry today but still tasty. It is definitely a recipe that I will use again but plan to tinker with the herbs and perhaps add some spices. Thanks for posting!
