Dill-Lemon Chicken

"From the fix it and forget it lightly cookbook. Creamy and yummy, but not very guilty. We like this served over brown rice or herbed rice. Please note that the cooktime is for chicken breast halves NOT whole chicken breasts. Adjust accordingly. Also, this is intended for crockpots with heating elements in the sides and bottom not the ones with heating elements on the bottom."

  1. SECOND time to post review! This was simple, tasty and VERY easy to make, we loved it! Thanks so much - made for Scandinavia game in Europe on a plate!

  2. I used 3 bone in, skinless chicken breasts and followed recipe as listed except for throwing in a couple of crushed garlic cloves. Other than needing a bit of salt, which can be added to taste afterwards, this was pretty tasty. Thanks for sharing your recipe ;)

  3. I like this recipe and use yogurt for chicken now and then but the sourcream gave it a nice tartness along with the dill and lemon. I did add fresh lemon juice and used chicken legs instead of breasts. Will make again DH enjoyed. Made for ZWT 6 for Looney Spoon Phoodies

  4. You can't get any easier than this! I made this exactly as posted, except I did end up adding salt when it was finished, because this is not really highly seasoned. The lemon and dill go very well together, although the sauce was a little too runny for me. Thanks for sharing this. Made for ZWT6 by a RedHot Renegade.

Tweaks

  1. I halved the recipe, and used low fat sour cream instead of no fat. Turned out very moist and flavorful! Served over whole wheat couscous. Love how easy the recipe is. Will make again for sure.
