Dispersing Bath Oil

"A great bath oil. a friend passed this on to me when i had very dry skin. doesn't leave a ring around the tub but does give the skin a good coating. shelf life is unknown cause i have shared this with others. author unkown. please let me know what you think. enjoy"

  • 1 whole egg
  • 118.29 ml baby oil or 118.29 ml mineral oil
  • 9.85 ml liquid soap
  • 59.14 ml vodka
  • 29.58 ml honey
  • 59.14 ml whole milk
  • 4.92 ml essential oil, of your own choice

directions

  • mix all ingredients in a a blendaer for 30 seconds. pu in a sterile jar or bottle. use 1 to 2 tbsp of this oil in bathtub of water.

  1. I found this recipe off the 'net, and after trying it, I did make some changes to it. As I am not fond of mineral oil (because it sits on the skin and is not absorbed like some other oils can), I used grapeseed oil. Since pure essential oils can be expensive, the 1 tsp of oil is a little bit excessive. Scent it to your personal preference. Liquid soap usually is scented, so it may clash with essential oils used. I have never come accross in my travels (of beauty products) what good vodka would do for the skin, (except bring the cost up), I wouldn't add it. The bath oil would go sour before you would have used it all up, so 1/4 cup would be a better amount used per bath. On the whole the recipe is fine, but it does need to be fiddled with
