- 1⁄2 cup salted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 3 -4 medium ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1⁄2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1⁄2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degree F.
- Cream together the butter, sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl.
- Add in the eggs and mix well.
- Add the smashed bananas and the yogurt and mix.
- In a separate bowl sift together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and cocoa powder.
- Add the dry mixture to the wet and incorporate well.
- Pour in the chocolate chips and stir until evenly distributed.
- Pour batter into a lightly greased standard loaf pan and bake in the center of the oven for 55-60 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
- Place pan on a cooling rack and allow to cool for at least 20 minutes before trying to get the bread out.
