  2. Add milk, vanilla, and lemon juice.
  3. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg.
  4. Add to the wet ingredients and mix well.
  5. Drop by teaspoon into hot cooking oil.
  6. Turn as browning.
  7. Drain on paper towels.
  8. Dust with granulated or powdered sugar when almost cooled.
