  1. As I poured the Jagermeister into my shot glass I became very scared!!! No wonder it has taken me 2 years to open this bottle. As I poured, this blackish liquid flowed from the greenish black bottle into my shot glass. Have I opened, the tar pit from hell? No turning back now, the ice was waiting in the glass and the root beer was open. Here it goes, I mixed everything together in the awaiting glass of ice. Kids, DH, I love you, bottoms up.....Oh my goodness, this is so good. The licorice flavor is not as strong as I thought it was going to be. I can't wait to share this at a family gathering. Made for *ZWT4* 2008 game for the *Family Pick Round* I'm playing for *Tastebud Tickling Travellers*

  2. I am SO not a beer drinker, but do love root beer, so thought since there was so much more root beer than beer-beer, that it would be a safe choice....and I'm happy to report it was GREAT! We used Miller Genuine Draft, as we don't have all those fancy beers sitting around (and we live 50 miles for towns bit enough to have a choice!)...plus we used some home-made rootbeer--which was a bit flat...but hey, I didn't mind it a bit!! The flavors melded nicely. What I LOVE about this recipe is the NAME! *ZWT4 - Germany*

  3. This was sinfully good. Dangerously good. I *loved* it. I agree with Kim127, it tastes like root beer barrel candy. A bit of anise/licorice is present, but not overpowering. Thanks for posting! Made for ZWT4.

  4. Wow! I didn't expect to like this as much as I did. I used diet IBC root beer. When I mixed it up I put in the 2 ounces of Jager and then could only fit about 6 ounces of the root beer. I was going to just add more root beer as I drank it down, but I have to say that I could barely taste the Jager. Wasn't strong tasting at all. You just got a hint of the licorice and it does taste like a root beer barrel candy!! I even enjoyed a second one and that was it for me, lol.
