Oh my goodness, what an INCREDIBLE pie! I did make a few minor changes that helped it along, though:

I made my own pie crust- so quick and easy and simple.
I added a pinch of allspice, more nutmeg, and a pinch of ginger to the apples.
I reduced the sugar in the filling (no measurements, just until it felt right), but added more sugar to the topping. I like the contrast, it makes each bit interesting. :)
It was a little too juicy, so next time I will pat the apples dry a bit before mixing them.

Keeps perfectly in the fridge! I enjoyed a delicious cold slice for breakfast.

I saw this photographed and reviewed in Spring, 2010 PAC and just HAD to make it. I used a Mrs. Smith's frozen pie crust and it worked just fine. The crumbly topping was fun to work with. I turned my oven up to 375F and I still needed to bake it longer than the 30 mins. Closer to an hour. Very yummy pie, and a pleasant change from the basic apple pie we're all used to. Thanks for sharing.

Delicious and not overly sweet! I used a Pillsbury roll-out ready made pie crust, granny smith apples and freshly grated nutmeg ~ I'm not sure if the bake temperature is incorrect on the recipe and needs to be increased, but I baked my pie at 350F for 1 hour to get the crumb crust to brown! Made for Spring PAC 2010 ~
