- Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
- Beat eggs until well aerated. Add milk and beat again. Add salt and flour and beat on low, just until blended.
- Meanwhile, put butter into a 9 x 13 baking dish, or divide it into two round cake pans, or two large cast iron skillets and place in the preheated oven to melt the butter and heat the pan(s). Tip pans to spread butter evenly.
- Pour batter into the warm pan(s), top with fruit, if you want to add some and place in the oven. Bake for 15 minutes.

Hey, great recipe. I halved it but otherwise followed it exactly. It is a little strange looking considering its a pancake, but if you don't call it that, then it just looks really pretty. It tastes great, although next time I would probably add less butter and I would add a bit of sugar to the recipe so that I could skip the syrup. Thanks for posting!

Made this exactly as the recipe instructed and it was great, pretty too! DH and I both enjoyed it with an apple crisp topping and fresh whipped cream. Unfortunatly the DGSs (whom I made it for as they were visiting) wouldn't even try it. They are so picky and it just LOOKED differant. Oh well, I will be making it again when they are NOT visiting. Thanks Likkel, it is wonderful.
